Was just in Sydney for the baseball opening series between Dodgers and Diamondbacks and was staying at the Novotel near Rob's Cafe. Wandered in one day for some coffee and ended up buying breakfast to take back to the family at the hotel. Excellent food, great coffee, and Rob is an awesome human being who chatted with me regarding local sport and whatever else came up in conversation. He's been there some 14 years while others have come and gone and won a steady steam of clients by opening every day and offering a consistently good cup of coffee that he prepares himself. He even got me straightened out when I was headed to the Quay one day when my family and I were going in the wrong direction to take the bus. Rob pointed out the closest bus stop and provided the bus number we needed to get use to our destination. I learned a great deal about Sydney culture and sport from chatting with this gentleman, but go for the coffee and breakfast alone, if not for the conversation. Two thumb up!
By the way, my son had the french toast and my wife and I had sausage and egg rolls (hers was egg only). All very delicious and freshly prepared. My wife and I both had flat white coffees and my son had hot chocolate. Again, all excellent!
